School of Invention: For Debate Empty Re: School of Invention: For Debate

I dislike the subclass, and think it doesn't balance properly against other wizard subclasses.
It gains two tool proficiencies, light armour proficiency, as upposed to nothing from all other wizard subclasses, on selection.
It's "primary" feature (Reckless Casting) is a powered-down, but costless, sorcerer Quicken. It is mildly random, but the table isn't big enough to be truely random, and it's failure rate is rare, which results in a wizard that essentially has twice as many slots for combat purposes.
It's second feature (Alchemical Casting) is part Transmute metamagic (at cost of 1st level slot), or increased damage (2d10/2nd level slot, once per spell cast), which does work with Reckless, so can be used multiple times per turn, insofar as the table hits two damage spells.
It's third feature (Prodigous Inspiration) is the most balanced part, allowing a spell to be swapped out from spellbook to prepared, once per long rest.
It's final feature (Controlled Chaos) is the most imbalanced portion, allowing for slots to be turned into one level higher Reckless Casting roll(s). Which is simply ridiculous, albeit late in the game, and all 14th level features are kinda stupidOP.

This subclass feels like they took Sorcerer and Artificer, mashed them together, turned it into a subclass, and gave it to Wizard. Which is frankly, just, i don't like it.
